WARRIOR RUN
Whiskey Bravo's Warrior Run, established in 2013, works to educate youth about the challenges faced by military personnel and to raise funds for injured veterans. The event is held annually at Camp Equinunk and Camp Blue Ridge
The event offers both a 1 mile and a 5k option, encouraging exercise across ages and fitness levels. Alongside the run are educational experiences with speeches designed to focus on empathy and understanding directed for young participants. By engaging children with physical fitness, the event highlights the realities faced by military personnel, promoting a sense of gratitude and respect for their service and sacrifice.
Beyond raising awareness, the event also raises funds crucial for injured veterans. In its founding years donations were directed to Wounded Warrior Project, but have recently switched to Whiskey Bravo. The proceeds from the event are directed towards supporting veterans who have sustained injuries in the line of duty, covering costs related to medical expenses, rehabilitation, and reintegration into civilian life. This financial support is vital, providing injured veterans with necessary resources.
